Died.

After a very brief illness, dropsy of the heart, at 2 o'clock on Sabbath morning August 24th, 1890, at her home in Wellington, Kansas, Mrs. Flora Bell Gaylord, aged 29 years, 4 months and 14 days. The deceased, whose maiden name was Flora Bell Bowman, was born April 10th, 1861 in Christian county, Illinois. In her eighteenth year she made a profession of religion, and united with the United Brethren church, and subsequently, having removed to Kansas, she transferred her membership to the M.E. church of Wellington, her place of residence at the time of her death. The bereaved and lonely relatives are not among those who mourn without hope; for they cherish with unspeakable comfort these significant and cheering words which fell from the quivering lips of their loved one when she exclaimed the night before her death. "It is all right between Jesus and me."

Her remains were conveyed to the home of her parents, Thaddeus and Elizabeth Bowman near Argonia, Kansas and after funeral services, conducted there by Rev. C.P. Graham, were laid to rest in the cemetery south of Albion.

The sorrowing husband with the only family tie now severed, has the sympathy of many friends.
