Maxine Baxter McCafferty, 95, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021. She was born March 9, 1925 to Ora W. and Etta (Dexter) Baxter in Wabash, Indiana. She married Edward McCafferty on September 23, 1945. They moved to Texas in 1945. Maxine working in the banking industry as a teller and vault teller for twenty-eight years. After retirement they would breed and raise Racing Greyhounds.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She is survived by her four children, Kathry Pacheco and husband Mervyn, Edward McCafferty Jr., Debra Benker, and Patricia Byrd and husband Brian; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to have a private graveside service.
