Charlene was a devoted Christian and was a servant to others; she was active in her church, teaching the children's class, and baking for others. She was a hard worker and her hands were never idle. She worked for over 20 years at Eastern Mich. Univ. Every summer she canned fruits and vegetables, and to relax she crocheted blankets and afghans to give to others. She was especially proud of one that received first place at the Michigan State Fair.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents in 2002. Survivors are her husband, Phil, of Bentonville, Ark., and children Kevin (Cindy) of Clinton, MI. and Kimberly Brunkhardt (Bill) of Bella Vista, Ark., four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and brothers Dalles Howard of Pocahontas, Ark. and Hurshel Howard of Ypsilanti, MI.
Visitation will be at 10 am Wed., Jan. 6, 2021 at Bella Vista [Ark.] Church of Christ followed by the funeral at 11 am. Burial will be at Bentonville [Ark.] Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.callison-loughfh.com.
