January 6 participant. She and her four younger brothers were raised in an apolitical household; her parents worked in commercial flooring and in a school. In 2004, after graduating high school, she enlisted in the United States Air Force, where she served 12 years, including eight deployments to the Middle East. She then served two years in the Air National Guard in Washington, D.C. She was married first to Staff Sgt. Timothy McEntee. They divorced in 2018, and she married Aaron Babbitt. She moved to California with her second husband, and they ran a pool servicing business with her family. Once an ardent supporter of Barack Obama, she turned to the political right in 2019 during a time of personal and professional struggles. By 2020, she publicly supported QAnon and other conspiracy theories, which she promoted online, Tweeting around 50 times a day. She rejected the results of the 2020 US Presidential election and supported the "Stop the Steal" movement, traveling to the Capitol on January 6. She was among a throng of Trump Supporters who illegally entered the US Capitol Building in an attempt to stop Congress from certifying the results of the election. Babbitt, wearing a Trump flag as a cape, attempted to climb through a window into the Speaker's Lobby, adjacent to the House chambers. She did not heed Capitol Police instructions to "get down," and she was shot. She was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where she died.
