Joseph Ephrain Hill, was born at High Horn, Somersetshire, England, December 10, 1833. He was the son of William and Rosana Hill. In May 1869 he came to America and settled at Chillicothe, Illinois, for a short time. Removing he went to the neighborhood of Monica, where the remainder of his life was passed.
He died at his home, March 9, 1914, at the age of 80 years and 4 months.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. James Fry of Princeville, three nephews and six nieces.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Stanley Ward at the home of Mrs. James Fry, in Princeville, Wednesday afternoon, March 11th. Interment was in the local cemetery.
