Peter C. Aaroe, 71, died this morning in his home, 25 Harvey street. He was 71.
Born in Oxford, son of the late Peter C. and Marie Mines Aaroe.
Mr. Aaroe was employed for 40 years as a salesman for the George Parker Co. He retired in 1952.
Mr. Aaroe was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Piscatawaytown.
His first wife Anna Stuart Aaroe died in 1936 and he later married the former Florence Stryker, who survives.
Also surviving are fire daughters by the first marriage. They are Mrs.Emmet Ryder of Tate, Ga. Mrs. John McNally, Mrs. Robert Bishop and Mrs. John Bokor of Raritan township and Mrs. John Dunham of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Wallace Bloomfield of Raritan township, Mrs. Frank Baxter of Long Branch and Mrs. Richard Sutherland of Jackson Heights, Long Island.
Others are a brother, Morris Aaroe of Oxford, a stepdaughter, Mrs. George Ellis of Raritan township; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Quackenboss Funeral Home, 156 Livingston avenue. Since St. James Church is without a minister at this time the Rev. B. Franklin Peterson of All Saints Episcopal Church, Highland Park, will officiate.
Interment will be in Van Liew Cemetery.
