Sandra Jo Cochran, 72, of Good Hope Pike, Jane Lew passed away unexpectedly at 12:58 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston following a sudden aneurysm.
She was born in Baltimore, MD on August 7, 1944, a daughter of the late William Karl Rose and Juanita May Ball Rose.
On April 18, 1966, she married Ronnie A. Cochran who will miss her dearly after 51 years of marriage.
Her sweet, loving nature will be carried on by her three sons; three grandchildren; five siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Theodore Shingleton, Rebecca Miller, and Jean Shingleton.
Sandra worked as a model for Parson Souders, then for Harbert Drug Store, and later the Jane Lew Truck Stop. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. In addition to flower gardening, she enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and board games. Most importantly family was her greatest treasure and she loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Friends and family will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in the Stonewall Park Cemetery in Clarksburg.
