The former Flora Wrigley was born on November 24, 1920 in Ferron, Utah. She attended Salt Lake City General Hospital School of Nursing. In 1942 she married Norman A. Wentz in Nevada. He died October 30, 1988.
Flora had worked as a registered nurse at Hammond-Henry Hospital for 19 years until 1965. She then worked for Dr. Watters in Geneseo until he retired.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Geneseo. She loved to take care of people.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Ronald Root, Glendale, AZ, and three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Deborah Wentz, Geneseo, Charles and Teresa Wentz, East Moline, and Paul Wentz, Milan, 6 grandchildren, Steve Root, Greg Root, Mike Root, Matthew Wentz, Luke Wentz and Brad Wentz, 2 great grandchildren, Ashley Wentz and Eric Wentz and sisters Sarah and Wilva both of Salt Lake City. Her parents, husband, grandson, Darin, 4 brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
