Mrs. Nova Ellen Hopkins, 93 of Gurley, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021. She was born January 17, 1927 to William Robert an Jessie Florence Johnson Jones in New Market, AL.
Mrs. Hopkins is survived by her daughter, son in law, many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Samuel Hopkins; her parents; brothers Marvin Jones, Bill Jones, Howard "Finn" Jones, Russel "Jack" Jones, John Thomas Jones, Donald Jones, Wilson "Scooter" Jones and Jerry Franklin Jones; and sisters Agnes Davis and Nancy Ann Walls.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at Spry Funeral Home with the service to follow in the chapel at 12:00. Interment will be in Cochran Cemetery in New Market.
