Susie Catherine (Tyler) Henson was born on March 5, 1891 in Hickman County, Tennessee, the daughter of John Wilson Tyler (1848–1909) and his 2nd wife Nancy (Henson) Tyler (ca 1855– ), whom he married in 1889.
She was educated in Hickman County and was married to Ervin Samuel Henson, a Hickman County farmer and carpenter. He was the son of W R Henson and Mary Ann (Cummins) Henson and was born on February 27, 1881 and died on October 5, 1915 in Maury County of a combination of typhoid fever and malaria. Susie moved to Nashville about 1931.
Living with her daughter Mrs Laura Henson Smith of 1308 5th Avenue North in Nashville, Susie was 70 years old and a widow when she died of pneumonia on December 27, 1961 at Nashville General Hospital, after being ill for five years.
Survivors included her daughter Mrs Laura Henson Smith, sister Mrs Margaret Estes also in Nashville and three granddaughters.
Funeral Services were held on December 29th at Freeland Baptist Church, and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
