Peter George Botsis, 79, of Butler passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born April 17, 1941, in Wilkes-Barre, and was the son of the late George P. and Sylvia (Pikoulas) Botsis.
Peter belonged to St. Peter's Anglican Church, where he served as an usher.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He retired as a lieutenant from the Butler City Police in 1994. After retirement, he worked at the Butler County Courthouse as a tip staff for 15 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was an avid sports fan, loved every team of Pittsburgh, golfing, running, bowling and NASCAR.
Surviving are his four daughters; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marina McGrawand; and a brother, Allan Botsis.
BOTSIS -- Friends of Peter George Botsis, who died Jan. 6, 2021, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
