Charlotte Lynn (Davis) Lunardon, 70, of Denton, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. She was born in Lubbock, Texas, July 31, 1950, to Joe B. and Ella (Parkhill) Davis and was raised in Lubbock.
On December 30, 1971, she married Joseph “Joe” Ray Lunardon and had 2 children, Jennifer and Michael. She was active in their school PTA’s and was a great sports team mom during their school years. She enjoyed crafts and sewing.
She held jobs as a key punch operator, manager of a pathology lab, manager of a medical supply company, and in medical billing throughout her employment career before retiring in 2006.
Charlotte was a fantastic cook and baker. You could always find her in the kitchen making one of her signature dishes or trying out new recipes. She had a very giving heart and had a great sense of humor.
She lived in Lubbock most of her life and moved to Denton after her husband’s death in 2017, to be close to her children and grandchildren. While in Lubbock, she was a faithful member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and made lifelong friends there. She loved spending time outside feeding and watching birds and squirrels and most of all spoiling her dogs.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Specht and her husband, Jim, of Denton, Texas; Michael Lunardon and his husband, David White, of Carrollton, Texas; grandchildren, Mina, Kat and Tegan Specht and Joshua and Jeremy White; sister, Jodi McMurray of Lubbock, Texas; beloved dogs, Zeva and Piper; in-laws, nieces, nephews, other family members, and extended family. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marijo. Charlotte was a loving mother, sister, friend and her favorite job was being a grandmother.
A graveside service arranged by Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas, on Friday, January 15, 2021, at 2:00 p.m.
