Alice was born to Isaac S and Mary Rush April 15, 1861 Sunsbury Township, Monroe County Ohio. Alice's father died when she was three years old a casualty of the Civil War. Isaac S. Rush is buried at Cypress Hill Cemetery, Kings County New York.
She married David Thompson Gresham July 3, 1877.
