Msgt. Thomas Samuel Alexander, USAF (ret.), age 78, of Navarre, was called home on January 15, 2021. He was born December 04, 1942, in Sale Creek, TN to the late Hershel and Esther Alexander. After high school, Thomas began a 28-year career in the U.S. Air Force, served in the Vietnam Era, and retired at the rank of Master Sergeant. He continued his service in his country for another 15 years at Eglin AFB as a civil servant. In addition to traveling the globe, Thomas was an avid sports fan and loved watching most sports, especially the Tennessee Volunteers. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his in-laws, Wilburn and Betty McKinney. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Belenda Alexander of Navarre, FL; daughter, Cheryl (Jeff) Davis, their children, Jacob, Jeffrey, Jackson, and Jayce all of Gulf Breeze, FL; son, Richard (Gloria) Alexander, their children, Benjamin, Madison, Jackson, Victoria Catherine, Sofi a, Lincoln and Theodore of Denham Springs, LA; in-laws, Floyd and Helen Brock of Pensacola, FL; brother, Jack (Gail) Alexander of Sale Creek, TN; 11 grandchildren; 12 grand-dogs; 3 grand-cats; close friends, Bill and Shirley plant of Knoxville, TN; and a host of extended family and close friends. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563. Military honors will be rendered at the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Thomas' honor be made to Disabled American Veterans, at ihelpveterans.com/donate.
