GRIM REAPER CLAIMS WELL-KNOWN WOMAN
Mrs. James Cooper Nesbit dies after an illness of several weeks

Death has claimed Mrs. James Cooper Nesbit, age 60, well known Chattanooga woman. She passed away Thursday morning at 9:25 o'clock at her home, 721 Douglas Street, after an illness of several weeks. Her husband J. C. Nesbit a prominent citizen and resident, died about a year ago. Mrs. Nesbit was the daughter of Gen. Armstrong Bailey.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Nesbit Bailey; a son Mr. J. Cooper Nesbit; two step-daughters, Mrs. W. Robert Davis and Miss M. G. Nesbit, and two sisters Miss Elizabeth Bailey and Mrs. M. B. Hill.
Mrs. Nesbit was a talented writer and well known as an author of adventure stories.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

FUNERAL FOR MRS. NISBET

Funeral services over the body of Mrs. James Cooper Nesbit, who died Thursday morning at her home, 721 Douglas street, are being held at the Christ Episcopal Church Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with father W.C Robertson officiating. The body will be interred at the Confederate Cemetery and the following Confederate veterans are to be honorary pallbearers: Col. L.T Dickenson, J.A Caldwell, W.P McClatchey, S.J.A. Frazier, J. N. Johnston, W.C. Payne, B.L. Goulding and T.W. McAfee. Active pallbearers from John Bauchmancamp, sons of Veterans will be: R.B Davenport, J.O. Martin, A.C. Carroll, W. Shep Shelton, M.E. Dement and H.A Stewart.
