In May 2007, I made a trip to Barren Co., Ky. In the Metcalfe Co Cemetery book, I found a listing for Thomas A and Mildred F CONYERS. I located the Sandidge-Morris cemetery, in Metcalfe Co., KY and photographed the headstones, which are both still legible. Thomas' stone was laying on the ground. Mildred's stone was still standing. I had to climb a fence and cross a large pasture to get to the cemetery, which was hidden in a clump of trees about .3 of a mile beyond the house. I also located a marriage record for Nellie C Conyers which listed Thomas A Conyers and Mildred F Morris as her parents.

From Center, KY travel E/SE on Hwy 1196 for 2.4 miles. Turn rt & travel .3 mile at the Paul York farm. Cemetery is about .3 miles S of the house. We had to climb a fence & walk across the pasture to the clump of trees that could be seen over top of the barn. Inside the clump of trees were headstones, laying, broken, standing. Thomas' headstone was laying on the ground but you could read the inscription. Mildred's headstone was still standing.
