Roy Abner, 83, of Wapakoneta, went home to be with the Lord, 11:20 a.m., Sun. Jan. 17, 2021, at Otterbein- St.Marys, surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 8, 1937, in Harlan Co., KY, the son of Theodore & Elsie (Kinder) Abner, who preceded him in death. In 1963, he married Bertha (Shepherd) Abner, and she died in 1987. Then on June 14, 1994, he married Judy (Rowe Keysor) Abner, and she survives.

Roy retired from Koneta Rubber Co., Wapakoneta. He was a member of Christian Victory Tabernacle, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #691, both of Wapakoneta. Roy loved listening to Christian music, fishing, spending time with his family, and going to the Lucky Steer to eat.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m., Mon. Jan. 25, 2021, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, with Revs. Bill Prater and David Mowery officiating. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive family & friends from 10 a.m. until time of the service, Mon. at the funeral home.
