LOUDONVILLE Patricia J. Farley Dalessandro, 71, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany following a long illness.
Born in Albany, Mrs. Dalessandro was the daughter of the late James and Lillian Colcomb Farley. She was raised and educated in Albany and resided in Watervliet for a number of years, following her marriage to Peter J. Dalessandro, recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor and former New York State Senator, before relocating to Loudonville in 1967.
Mrs. Dalessandro was a self-employed Realtor and had also been associated with Realty U.S.A. Earlier in her life, she enjoyed her role as a politician's wife. She is remembered by her family for her love of cooking, reading and her sentimentality toward animals. Mrs. Dalessandro had a flair for fashion and style. She loved her family and especially doted on her grandson who was the light of her life.
Wife of the late Peter J. Dalessandro, she is survived by her loving daughters, Maribeth C. Abbadangelo and her husband Alan J. Abbadangelo and Bernadette J. Ellis and her husband Walter P. Ellis III; her cherished grandson, Dalessandro Xavier Ellis; dear family friend, Anthony Colello.
Funeral on Monday morning at 10 o'clock in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, N.Y. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Geoffrey D. Burke, pastor. A private interment will follow.
Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, N.Y. on Sunday, 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances be made to the Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Patricia J. Dalessandro.
