He was born September 14, 1935, in Puerto Rico, a son of the late Pablo and Juana (Guzman) Acevedo. On March 16, 1991, he married Elizabeth Coriano, who survives.
Efrain was employed for over 30 years in home remodeling in New York City and New Jersey. He was also employed as a chef in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 29 years, are two sons, David and Moises Acevedo, both of Mifflinburg; and four sisters, Amelia Acevedo of Puerto Rico, Teresa Acevedo of Puerto Rico, Lucrecia Acevedo of Florida, and Lenor Acevedo of Puerto Rico.
A private graveside service will be conducted at the Hartleton Cemetery, with Rev. John Yost, officiating.
