His obituary from the December 19, 2002 Hendricks County Flyer:

David W. Redman of Brownsburg died December 17 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was 47. Born November 29, 1955, in Indianapolis, he was a son of Artilla Pennington of Franklin and the late William Redman.

A lifetime resident of Brownsburg, Mr. Redman worked 26 years as a carpenter before retiring in 1998.

Additional survivors include a step-father, Paul Williams of Franklin; a sister, Doretta Shields of Chattanooga, Tennessee; as step-sister, Deborah Smeltzer of Spencer; a grandmother, Ollie Redman of Danville and a companion, Rhonda Wishmier of Brownsburg.

Services are 2 pm December 20 at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg with the Rev Joy Goehring officiating. Interment will follow at Brownsburg Cemetery. Calling will be from 4 to 8 pm today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
