October 10, 2007 Frank L. Traino, 84, of North Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday at his home. He was born in Syracuse and served with the U.S. Air Force during WWII and the KoreanWar. After his military service, he was a Reserve Member of the 174th Alumni Association. He was a lifetime member of the DAV, Coonley Nojaim Member Post #30 and John Venditti Post. He was a member of Pulaski Post 1650 and a 25-year Club Member of Niagara Mohawk. Frank was a foreman rith Niagara Mohawk for 33 years, retiring in 1984. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Carmella (Cacchione) Traino, in 1998 and his two brothers, Sam and Joseph Traino. He is survived by his son, Michael A. (Regina) Traino of N. Syracuse; three grandchildren, Maria, Michelle and Melissa, all of N. Syracuse; one sister, Catherine (John) Calagiovanni of DeWitt; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8:15 a.m. in the PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME and 9 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt. Calling hours are Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St., Syracuse.
