David Doty, aged 77 years, a resident of Bersick for many years, died at the home of his son, William Doty, 208 Scott street, East End, yesterday afternoon after an illness of general debility. Mr. Doty came to this city about a week ago to visit his son and was taken ill several days ago.


He is survived by the following children: Mrs. H. F. Perigo, of Berwick; William and Ralph Doty, of this city; also two sister, Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Jacob Minnier, of New Columbus and five brothers: Luther and George Doty on New Columbus; Jerome, Ira and Gerald Doty, of Berwick.


The funeral will take place from the home of his son William, 209 Scott street, East End, on Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning the body will be taken to Jonestown, near Fishing Creek, for burial.
