Tacoma, Washington - Born in Tacoma, WA to Kenneth & Leila Rees. Celia graduated from Stadium HS in 1945, then on to college at EWU & UPS. She worked in radiology at Tacoma General for 6 years until 1961. She retired from Labor & Industries working happily there for 20 years. Celia grew up at Immanuel Presbyterian Church singing in the choir and enjoying many a potluck. Family gatherings were what she most looked forward to, as well as spending time with her beloved companion, Arnie Hamilton. Celia is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert Disbro, and his son Thomas Disbro. She is survived by her brother, David Rees; her children, Kenneth Grant, Leila Bales, Paul Fischer, Louise (Julie Fischer) Morgan, step-son, David Disbro (Pat), daughter-in-law, Denise Disbro; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and much loved family.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Tacoma General Hospital, where she and 4 generations of her family were born, where she passed, and where she always received excellent care, or Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community, where she lived happily and was treated as family for the last 6 years.
