Barbra Jean Schultz, 66, of Winona, passed away peacefully at her home holding the hand of her loving husband, after a courageous battle with breast cancer, under the care of Winona Area Hospice.
Barb was born in Arcadia on November 1, 1954, to Alden and Ardys (Scow) Boberg. After graduating from Arcadia High School, she was united in marriage to Tony Schultz on April 26, 1974, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Arcadia. For many years, Barb was employed with the Winona Knitting Mills until its closure in 2000. She worked briefly for the Winona Post, but found caring for her grandchildren would give her the greatest reward. Barb loved babies and children most of all and opened her arms to her grandson, Jaydan, caring for him as one of her own children; providing a stabile home life when he was young. She very much enjoyed cooking big dinners for her family, camping, playing in pools and on waterslides with her grandchildren, gardening and decorating the outside of her home for various holidays. She was an excellent homemaker and took pride in keeping her home neat and clean. Barb was an avid Packer Fan and stayed loyal win or lose. Barb's tenacity and strong will became the most evident as she battled through with her breast cancer, knowing she wanted to stay with her family. May her love for her family warm the memories they share, as our Boss, Momma, sister and friend may be gone from our sights, but never from our hearts.
Barb is survived by her loving husband: Tony of Winona; daughter: Amy (Nicholas Latus) Beier-Latus; sons: Shawn (Dori), Corey (Amy), and Travis Schultz; grandchildren: Karyssa (Ethan), Preston, Devyn, Colton, Benjamin "Benny Boo", Kaylee, Jaydan, and Adrian; a great-grandchild due to arrive June of 2021; sisters: Christine (Brian) Bisek, Patricia Weltzien, Lori (David) Skroch, Cindy (Thomas) Myers, and Lynn (Michael) Wolfe; brothers: Richard (Cheyanne) Boberg and Randall Boberg; her special cat, Noah; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She has been greeted in Heaven by her parents; sister in infancy; and grandson: Talan Chase Schultz.
A graveside service for Barb will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Calvary Cemetery, rural Arcadia, with Father Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Family and friends are invited for a walk-through visitation from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, Arcadia. Masks and social distancing practices will be strongly encouraged. Barb's family would like to thank the staff of Winona Area Hospice for the care and compassion they gave to Barb in her final weeks, and a special thank you to Mary Beth and Sheila for their exceptional support and service.
