John Colin Campbell
an Architect/Engineer

He was a pupil of John Skipton Mulvany, Architect.
He joined the Board of Works in 1853 as a Drawing Clerk, and was a Draughtsman in 1874

When dealing with the residue of his parents wills and estates in 1873, he was noted as
"John Patrick Campbell of the Office of Public Works, Custom House, Dublin, Esquire, the Son of said deceased"

His daughter May Campbell married Andrew Furlong on 1 August 1878.
Then living at 2 Cowley Place. [near Mountjoy Prison]
John Campbell was noted as an Architect

When his wife died in 1889, they were living at 85 Lower Drumcondra Road.

Recorded in the 1901 census at 79 Hollybank Road, Glasnevin Ward.

John C. Campbell, aged 71, a widower, a Civil Engineer, born in City of Dublin.
Andrew T. Furlong, aged 46, son-in-law, married, a Maltster, born in Co. Wexford.

Death.
John Colin Campbell, aged 75, a widower, an Architect, died on 15 July 1901, at 79 Hollybank Road, Clontarf.
The cause of death was Cardiac Degeneration, Syncope, certified.
His death was registered on 19 August 1901, by A.J. Furlong, son-in-law, present at death, 79 Hollybank Road.
He was buried on 17 July 1901.

who departed this life
on the 4th Day of November 1830
in the 66th Year of his Age.
The remains were removed here on the
29th February 1832, This was the first
Stone erected in this Cemetery.
Here also lie the remains of his Daughter
SUSANNA the beloved wife of JOHN MacNAMARA Esq. Solicitor.
died 13th August 1848, aged 23 years.
And her infant Child LIZZY.
Also the remains of the above
Mrs. ELIZABETH CAMPBELL
Who departed this life on the 17th of March 1852.
