Helen Ambrose Reed, 92, of Pinehurst, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Col. Gilbert R. Reed.
Mrs. Reed is survived by two sons, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Helen was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde B. Ambrose and was born and raised in Washington, D.C.
Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, Md. All services are private.
