Kathryn P. Browne, age 79, died at home March 1, 2002. Born March 31, 1922 in Steubenville, Ohio. She was raised in East Liverpool, Ohio. She graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1940. She attended St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pa. and graduated from there as a R.N. She enlisted in World War II, and served as an Army Nurse with the 123rd Hospital Unit in Hereford, England. She left the Army as a First Lieutenant. England. A former employee of Mount Carmel Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio, she was a R.N. there and more recently worked in the Medical Records Department. Beloved mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl D. and Mary Grace McCullough; her husband and son Carl. She is survived by her children, Mary Kay (Steve) Weed, Joseph Browne (Diane Conn), Ruth Ann Browne, Elizabeth (Brian) Heaston, Rita J. Browne, Margaret (Steve) Browne-MacEachern; her grandchildren are: Gregory, Brian and Anthony Heaston, Jeffrey and Daniel Weed, Katherine and John MacEachern. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph P. and Dorothy McCullough of Cedar Falls, Iowa; brother and sister-in-law, Albert E. and Lillian Browne of Columbus, Ohio; brother-in-law, Michael Sweeney of Laurel, Maryland; many nephews and nieces. Private viewing hours will be held at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 South High Street. A private burial service will be held at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, 6440 S. High St. Please contact the family for more information. Burial at Saint Joseph Cemetery. Father Mark Hammond officiating.
