JUDGE WILSON BORROW DIES
Judge R. Wilson Barrow, prominent Macon lawyer, died this morning at the Samaritan Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past ten days after suffering a heart attack.
Funeral services have been tentatively set for Friday afternoon at the First Baptist Church, where he was a member. The body is at the Bram Funeral Home.
Judge Barrow, who had retired recently from public office and returned to private law practice, was Magistrate and Probate Judge here for a number of years and prior to that time had served in a number of official capacities and public offices.
Immediate survivors are his wife, Mrs. Letha McNeely Barrow of the home at 905 Jackson St.; one daughter Mrs. Jeannie Marshall of Topeka, Kansas; and an aunt, Dr. Lucy Simmons of Kirksville.

JUDGE BARROW'S FUNERAL FRIDAY
Funeral services for Judge R. Wilson Barrow, Jr., well-known Macon lawyer and former county official, will be held Friday at the First Baptist Church here. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Bram Funeral Home until the hour of service.
Mr. Barrow died yesterday at the Samaritan Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since suffering a heart attack May 5.
Robert Wilson Barrow, Jr., was born Feb. 21, 1900 in Macon, the son of Robert Wilson Barrow and Sophie Pipkin Simmons, and was a lifelong resident of this community. He was married in Nov., 1937, to Miss Letha Jewell McNeely in Macon.
He received his L.L.B. Degree from Washington University Law School and was engaged in the practice of law here. He had recently retired from public office and returned to private law practice, after having served several years as Probate and Magistrate Judge of Macon County. He had also served as State Representative, Assistant Attorney General, Macon County Prosecuting Attorney, and U.S. Commissioner.
Judge Barrow was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he was a trustee and taught the Young Men's Bible Class. He was a member and past president of the Macon Lodge No. 999, B.P.O.E., a member and past president of the Macon Rotary Club, and a member of the Missouri Bar Association. He was active for years in Democratic Party politics and served as a delegate to several National Party Conventions.
He was also active in the Macon County Historical Society and a past president of that organization.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Letha M. Barrow of the home at 905 Jackson St.; one daughter, Mrs. Jeannie B. Marshall of 4120 Twilight Dr., Topeka, Kansas; one aunt, Dr. Lucy Simmons of Kirksville; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
