She was preceded in death by one brother Robert MacDonald.
Mrs. Abbott was employed at Copley News Service prior to her marriage. She helped run a family-owned business until 1968. She was a member of Southern View Chapel. She was a Girl Scout troop leader for many years and served as treasurer for the Illinois Diabetic Association.
Surviving are her husband Louis E.; one son, David E. of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Paul D. (Sharon) Whitcomb of Elmhurst; two brothers, Louis MacDonald of New York, N.Y., and Floyd MacDonald of Winimac, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
Services: Southern View Chapel, the Rev. Edward Hellyer officiating.
