George H. Neff, 65, of 431 Broadway, died of cancer at 8:15 a.m. today following a long illness. Mr. Neff was born April 15, 1896, in Ellsworth, a son of Fred and Mary Ann (Murray) Neff, and lived in this area all his life. He attended the Evangelical Church. Mr. Neff was a shearman for the U. S. Steel Corp. until his retirement in 1954. He was a veteran of World War I. Besides his wife, the former Nancy Blair, he leaves two stepsons, Harry and Edward Van Nattan, both of Akron; and three stepdaughters, Mrs. Thelma Gerhart and Mrs. Betty Butler, both of Youngstown, and Mrs. Blance Wilson of Akron; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Johnston of Youngstown. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Shriver-Allison North Side Funeral Home where friends may call from 7 – 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
