Stephanie Ellen Carr, 67, of Bon Air, died January 23, 2021 at Battlefield Park Healthcare Center in Petersburg from COVID-19. She was born March 7, 1953, in Martinsville, Virginia and was predeceased by her parents, James Arthur Carr and Kay Carr Cordray; stepfather, Richard Palmer Cordray; and beloved Jack Russell, Spanky. She is survived by her sister, Jennifer Carr Kim (husband, Young Kim); nephew, Bradley Carr Prosser (partner, Wendy Aves); and family pets, Barlow, Walter, Louie and Emmy.
Stephanie had a keen eye and passion for vintage jewelry and other collectibles. She was a dedicated supporter of Virginia Tech and the Washington Redskins, enjoyed music by the Grateful Dead and sharing fine dining with Spanky.
Her family wishes to show their appreciation for the outstanding support offered by James River Hospice and Stephanie's case manager, Dan Morone.
Stephanie's ashes will join those of her parents and stepfather in the garden at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Richmond.
