Bobby was born on January 23, 1948 in Jefferson, Texas to Bobby and Evon Garrett. He grew up in Vivian and attended North Caddo High School where he met Patsy in the N. C. Choir. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Vivian. Bobby worked as an engineer for KCS Railroad and retired after 39 years. He got up every morning to start his day with friends, drinking coffee together at Super Valu. When Dairy Queen was open he would end the evening with friends and an ice cream cone. Between his coffee and ice cream you could find Bobby, mowing, working on lawn mowers, riding his motorcycle, or doing something to spoil his wife or grandchildren. He did so much for people and never asked for anything in return. He truly believed that teaching someone to work and earn a fair wage was much better than just giving them money.
Bobby in preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Patsy Wynn Garrett; children, Chanda Garrett Clifton (James A. Clifton Jr.) and Patrick Wynn Garrett; grandchildren, Amelia K. Clifton, James G. Clifton, Abigail G. Clifton, and Alex Rogers; brothers, Jody Garrett (Teresa) and Dean Garrett; sister, Beverly Garrett Weiss (Eric).
