David was born September 23, 1947 in Ferndale, the son of Lyman and Helen (Daubenmeyer) Hooker. He married Betty Zurbrick on May 3, 1975 in Waterford. David retired from General Motors as a design engineer. He enjoyed genealogy, woodworking and developed an interest in find-a-grave. David was a world traveler and an avid coin collector.
Surviving are, wife of 45 years, Betty ; twin daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Lyman and Helen Hooker and sister, Bonnie Dobbins.
