Mrs. Gertrude E. Lewis Dies after Short Illness
Gertrude E. Ackley, wife of the late Robert W. Lewis, died at her home 422 W. Bloomfield Street, this morning, after an illness of five weeks.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Lowell, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John D. Ackley, June 9, 1850. She married Mr. Lewis in Westmoreland, April 28, 1869. Her husband died December 1, 1924.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of the First Methodist Church and of the Tri M. U. Ladies' Bible Class of the church.
She is survived by two sons, Albert, and Harry E. Lewis, and three grandchildren, Maude, Claude and Robert Lewis, all of Rome, a sister, Mrs. Nettie R. Samson, Delta, Ohio, and a brother, John D. Ackley of Homer, N.Y.
