Bobby Ray Adkins, 87 of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on February 3, 2021. He was born on December 30, 1933 in Dougherty, OK to Charles and Corene Adkins.

Bobby served in the United States Army in the Korean War era. He was also an In House Printer for APCO Oil and retired from OSU-OKC after many years. Bobby was also a Golden Glove boxer. He played guitar and liked to hunt and fish in his younger years. You could find Bobby at Perry’s Restaurant at 7 AM and then again at 2:45 PM. He bought a metal detector to enjoy finding treasures. He loved his grandchildren and was proud of his Chickasaw Heritage. Bobby was known as being a very blunt person with a sense of humor and very fun going.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ruth Adkins; daughter, Ardyth Burger; grandchildren, Micahleah and husband John Kennedy, Kelson and wife Tabitha, Kirsten & Aryana; stepson, Hans Walter and wife Gabriel of Germany; great grandchildren, Lilynn Burger, Alayna,, Amelia & Aryah; and many other family and friends as well as everyone from Perry’s.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Corene Adkins; and many well loved family members

Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM, Saturday, February 6, 2021, the family will be receiving friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

Please wear a mask to visitation and the service and try to practice social distancing.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 8, 2021 at Kolb Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.
