Twin brother of Agustin
Evaristo Juan was born on 28 October 1798 at "la Casa", a Native American village in present day San Diego County, to Estevan Guasalpoc and Juaquina Tocoroy. Because he was in danger of dying he was provisionally baptized on 29 October 1798 at la Casa (SD Baptism 02610). On 31 October 1798 a supli ceremonia was performed to complete the rite. Evaristo died about 6 October 1799 at Mission San Diego and was buried on 7 October 1799 at the Mission Cemetery (SD Death 01030).
