James G. Cheak, 86, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roy Thurman, at 11:45 Tuesday night in Lawrenceburg.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Cheak; three daughters, Mrs. Thurman and Mrs. Harrison Stucker of Anderson county and Mrs. Mae Tetrick of Louisville; five sons, Everett, William and Ben Cheak, New Albany, Ind., and Jesse Cheak, Louisville; three brothers, John Cheak, Shelby county; W. A. Cheak, Burgin, and C. A. Cheak, Henry county; two sisters, Miss Mattie Cheak, Henry county and Mrs. John H. Whitehouse, Burgin; 35 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services conducted at the Gordon funeral home, Lawrenceburg, at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. H. D. Calburn of Lexington officiating. Burial in Shelby county.
