Black, Irwin C., 1892 – 1951
Irwin Black was the son of John W. and Mary Ellen Black of Turtle Creek.
He appears on the 1900 census there with his parents and his older brother Charles. His father is listed as a day laborer.
The family could not be located in 1910, but by 1920 Irwin was married to Elizabeth and they had a 5 month old daughter, Dorothy. The small family was living on Main Street in Sharpsburg and Irwin was working as a repairman for the railroad. In 1930 he was working in a blacksmith shop while living on Kittanning Pike in Pleasant Valley of O'Hara Township.
He was interred on April 7, 1951.
