Billie was preceded in death by her step-brothers, Archie, Dan, Ralph, Fred, and half-brother, Marty Potter; her mother, Ida Fuller Potter and her step-father, Creed Flannery Potter who died many years ago as did her biological father, McCoy Johnson who died when she was only about a month old.

Billie Joyce Jaynes was so very special it is hard to define her many attributes. I loved her beyond belief and my heart aches for the loss of her. She was a shining, cheerful light in an often dreary world. She was a loving, mother figure not only to her children, but to many others. She cared deeply about others and gave generously throughout her life to her loved ones. She was a woman who believed in protecting the weak and she would fight for those who had little or no ability to protect themselves. She was as fair a person as I've encountered in my lifetime. She was such a good person, it sometimes seems impossible that anyone could be so good and kind, but she truly was. I can't say how much she will be missed and this world will be a much lonelier place without her. Heaven's gain is truly our great loss. Our only consolation is the fact that she will be with the Lord and with those we love who have gone on before her. Our great hope is to someday be with her once again in Heaven. Written by her broken hearted sister/daughter, Annette Potter.

Billie Joyce Jaynes will be interred in the Forest Park East Cemetery, Webster, Texas along side her husband, Charles Wayne Jaynes.
