Riverton, Utah – Carolyn Myrtle (Shafer) Hodges age 83 passed away peacefully February 6th, 2021. Carolyn is survived by her son Danny Hodges (Sherry); two daughters Debra Nash (Jere), and Sandra Murphy (Bob); six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren; one brother Lloyd Shafer (Adela), and many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by previous husband Ruther Wayne Hodges; parents Chester Shafer and Watie Clara (Rauzon) Lyman; Two brothers, James Lyman (Darlene) and David Lyman (Catherine); a daughter, Linda (Hodges) Kirk; and a grandson Bryan Peterson. Carolyn will be remembered for her love of animals, and the joy she had taking care of them. She was very proud of her family, and loved to travel with them on their many adventures. She is eternally grateful for all the friends and family she has encountered throughout her life and sends her love to everyone and wants to thank you all for being a part of her life. Family members that preceded her in death have welcomed her with love and faith of an eternal life. The family will be holding a private funeral service. Carolyn will be laid to rest in the beautiful Kemmerer Cemetery.
