Cecelia W. Walkush Sweitzer, 93, formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Friendswood, TX. Born March 1, 1927 in Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Heretic Walkush. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Sweitzer was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church.
She is survived by son & daughter in law Timothy & Kathryn Sweitzer of Pittsburgh; two daughters & son in law Donna Blasko of Belle Vernon, Celeste & Sonny Amaya of Friendswood, TX; brother, Melvin 'Bucky' Walkush of North Belle Vernon; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Sweitzer; two brothers Carl and Joseph Walkush; 9 sisters Anna Moxin, Helen McCullough, Mary Altieri, Frances Curcio, Irene Gibson, Mildred Ward, Edith Walkush, Augustine Ezolt and an infant Sister Ethel Walkush.
Private family visitation was held at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183 followed by funeral mass at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Michael Crookston Pastor as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
