HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Graveside services for Mr. Hugh Lee Lord, 78, of Old Waynesboro Road, who died Friday, January 18, 2002, at St. Joseph Hospital will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2002, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta, with the Rev. George Holcombe officiating. Mr. Lord was a native of Jefferson, Ga., Jackson County, but had lived most of his adult life in Richmond County. He had retired from King Mill as a shipping clerk and was president of Johns Lawn Service. "He was a father grandfather and devoted husband of 54 years who was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed." Survivors include his wife, Ethel Arrington Lord, Hephzibah; one daughter, Judy Whitaker, Evans; two sons, Jeffery Lee Lord, Hephzibah and John David Lord, Hephzibah; one brother, Worth Lord, Houston, Ga.; one sister, Joyce Orr, Fountain, Colo.; and seven grandchildren, Pallbearers will be Ben Parnell, Brice Parnell, Mark Clark, William Johnson, Brad Lord and Berry Lord.
