Ethel, formerly of Greenwood, and more recently South Paris, passed away at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Greenwood the daughter of Lewis and Iza Herrick Libby. She attended school on Rowe Hill and was a 1933 graduate of Woodstock High School in Bryant Pond.

She was the loving wife of Beryl Martin, who passed away in 1966. Together, they had four children and lived all their married life in Greenwood Center.

She was very proud of the 19 years she served as secretary for Labor Union Local 36 and was presented a plaque for her service. She was employed at Ekco Wood Products in Locke Mills until her retirement. After her retirement, she cared for the elderly and enjoyed her work very much. She also especially enjoyed her trips to Market Square Restaurant for lunches and dinners in her later years.

She will always be remembered for her love of dancing and talking about the many times she traveled throughout the United States with family and friends. She loved flowers of all kinds but especially the first Mayflowers in the spring. She never forgot her children's or her grandchildren's birthdays.

She loved camping and particularly the area of Lake Moxie, where her son Rex had a camp which she enjoyed sharing with him and his four daughters when they were younger.

Survivors include two sons, Rexford Martin of Bryant Pond and Roland Martin and his wife, Martha, of Greenwood Center; one daughter, Sandra Morgan and her husband, Richard, of South Glens Falls, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Beryl (Bob) Martin; a son, Curt; a sister, Addie Libby; two brothers, Glenwood and William Libby; other siblings died in early childhood and infancy.
