Mr. L. R. "Tink" Allen, 90, of Grand Saline passed away February 10, 2021, in Grand Saline. He was born October 20, 1930, to Clarence & Gladys Allen. He was born and raised in Grand Saline, then lived in Waxahachie, Sulphur Springs and Alba before moving back to Grand Saline around 1978. He ranched and engraved monuments to provide for his family.

Tink is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Norma Gaye Saunders Allen; sisters, Dorthy Howard, Doris Christopher, Joyce Coulson, and Peggy Mabry; and brothers, Troy Allen, Willard Allen, and Buck Allen.

Survivors include his three sons, Wesley Allen and wife Kelly, Tommy Allen, and Wade Allen and wife Cindy; sister, Etta Catlett; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services were scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. Billy Smith officiating.
