Frances Marie Schoenemann, 93, a lifelong resident of South Boardman, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday Feb. 1, 2021. She was born on Aug. 24, 1927 to the late Dean and Mary (Barber) Hall. Frances and the late LaVirn Schoenemann married on Nov. 22, 1944 and raised seven children. Frances is survived by her sister Eileen Pressey of Buchanan, her children Dave (Jean) Schoenemann of Alabama, Loretta (Mike) Buchner and Linda (Dave) Underhill both of Rapid City, Cindy (Kevin) Cousino of Lambertville, Lora (Ken) Miihlbach, Ted (Jeanie) Schoenemann, and Leona (Lee) Martinson, all of South Boardman, and her stepson Wayne (Bonnie) Schoenemann of South Haven. Frances was grandma to 23 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers Thomas, Vernon and Bill, her sisters Maryann Root and Bea Schoenemann, a step daughter, a grandchild and 2 great grandchildren. Frances liked watching birds. She enjoyed making needlework projects and baking apple pies. She loved her family and friends and cherished the time spent with them. Frances will be interred at the South Boardman cemetery. A memorial lunch will be planned in the spring. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to the South Boardman Senior Center, PO Box 92 South Boardman, MI 49680 or your favorite charity. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral and Cremation Services.
