He was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Roy Rogers Byrnes, Jr. and Sammie L. Byrnes, Sr.; 2 brothers, Billy and Tony.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Tressie; 2 sons, Charlie Rogers Byrnes (Nataleigh), Paul Allen Byrnes (Lisa); 12 grandchildren, Amber, Charlie Jr, Kristina, Sara, Zachary, Sammie, Jr., Clareas, Little Paul, Billy, Emily, Jacob, Baliah; 5 great-grandchildren, Colton, Lane, Skyler, Benjamin, Madasyn; his 2 sisters Dottie and Ann; and numerous other family members and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 am Monday, February 15, 2021, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel. Pastor Tino Maciel will officiate and interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends from1:00 to 4:00 pm at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel.
