Harvey Jay Aalderink, age 91, passed away in his sleep at home on Friday, February 12, 2021.

Born to George and Effie Aalderink in Douglas, MI in 1929. He graduated from Holland High and married Phyllis Posma in 1950. They were married for 61 years. Phyllis passed away in 2012. They were charter members of Maranatha Christian Reformed Church. Harvey retired from Brooks Product and then spent many years at Sandy Pines. The past years were spent doing wood working hobby projects.

He is survived by his children: Denny and Kathy Aalderink, Larry and Pattie Aalderink and Randall and Peggy Aalderink; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; brothers: Dale and Judy Aalderink and Donald Aalderink; sister: Thelma Beelen; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 918 Central Avenue in Holland. Reverend Matthew Stob will be officiating. Cremation will take place and burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery in the spring.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel.
