SAMPLES, LOGAN "ERNEST" SR., 76, of Louisville, passed away Monday, October 16, 2006 at the VA Medical Center. He was a cook, a mechanic, a member of VFW Post 5421 and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Annie Mae Samples.
He is survived by his eight children; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six brothers and sisters; and his uncle, Eliza Samples.
His service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
