Death Occurs At Home Near Warren Following Long Illness
Funeral services for Arthur P. Back, 84, a lifelong resident of Salamonie township Huntington county, who died at his home two miles east of Warren at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday after an illness of two months from complications, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Methodist church in Warren with Rev. V. O. Vernon officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery at Warren.
The decedent was born Jan. 25, 1858 in Salamonie township to John A. and Margaret Ann Swaim Back.
His first marriage was to Mary L. Irwin who died years ago. A daughter, Mrs. Theodoria Bulander, of Winamac, survives from the marriage. The second marriage was to Alice Pearl Andrew February 15, 1899. She survives. Other relatives are a son, Russell L. Back, of Fort Wayne, a daughter, Mrs. Ardella McBride, of Bluffton, form the second marriage, and a granddaughter, Annabelle Pennington, at home. A daughter, Edna Sands, preceded him in death.
Mr. Back was a member of the Methodist church in Warren.
