Lenhard H. Rabenhorst Sr., age 83, formerly of Maribel, died Friday evening, July 14, 1995, at a Green Bay nursing home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am. Tuesday, July 18, 1995, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maribel. Pastor Michael R. Riley will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.

Lenhard was born May 23, 1912, in Maribel, son of the late Carl and Pauline (Becker) Rabenhorst. He was a life long resident of Maribel. He farmed in Maribel until his retirement in 1968. He had served seven years as the town of Cooperstown Chairman and had also served on the Manitowoc County Board. Mr. Rabenhorst and the former Regina Marie Dobberpuhl were married at Zion Lutheran Church, Morrison, on October 3, 1936, and she preceded him in death on April 26, 1994. Lenhard was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Maribel.

Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law, John and Carolyn Rabenhurst, Maribel, Roland and Edith Rabenhorst, Denmark, Fritz Rabenhorst, Reedsville, Joe and Sue Rabenhorst, Maribel, Richard and Sharran Rabenhorst, Maribel; 10 grandchildren, Lisa and Tom Wachowski, Rick and Wendy Rabenhorst, Todd Rabenhorst, Cory Rabenhorst, Carl and Dorothy Rabenhorst, Dean, Chris, Erika, Adam, and Trent Rabenhorst; six great grandchildren, Taylor, Joshua, Gabriel, Mickela, Whiteney and Brynne; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Laura Klug, Brillion, Erma Belitz, Cleveland, Ruth Schnell, Cleveland, Esther and Randy Krueger, Wayside; nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina; one son, Carl, one grandson, Jay, his parents and two brothers, Hubert and Reuben.

Friends may call at the Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty. Hwy “R”, Denmark, from 4-8 pm. TONIGHT. On Tuesday friends may call at the church after 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

“Lenhard’s family extends their special thanks to the staff of Bornemann Nursing Home for all of their care and kindness shown to Lenhard and his family.”
